SUSTAINABILITY IN ARCHITECTURE

  • Healthy buildings: There’s a relationship between biology and the environment so buildings have to be healthy in order not to affect to users psycologic state.
  • Climate – Human being: The atmospheric conditions condition the mental and physical work of man. The lower the body’s effort to stay between 36.5º and 37º, the closer we are to our comfort zone. Influencing factors could be for example: air temperature, radiation, air movement or relative humidity. Orientation is also very important for the efficiency of a construction and depends on the area where it is located.
  • Sustainable design: Bioarchitecture, minimizes the negative impacts of constructions. Some constructive solutions are: Control of the microclimate, adequate orientation, typology that favors natural ventilation…
  • Materials: The use of traditional materials guarantees conditions of greater health and well-being than modern synthetic materials.
